The Lola T280-T290 series is a range of racing cars developed by Lola Racing Cars in the 1970s. Entered in sports car championships in the prototype category from 1972 onwards, they competed in the three-liter and two-liter classes, respectively. The Lola T280, designed for Group 6 competitions, was equipped with a 3,000 cm³ engine developing 450 horsepower for a weight of only 600 kg. Its aluminum monocoque chassis and fiberglass body provided both lightness and performance.
The 1/32 scale NSR replica has been designed to rank at the top of the “Classic” category. Thanks to technical and innovative solutions, it offers a perfect balance between performance and historical heritage.
The Lola T280/290 model features a Sidewinder configuration and integrates the standard components of the Classic range.
The chassis of the Lola has been completely redesigned. The structure integrates modified reinforcements, allowing for better chassis flexibility while reducing weight by 20%, thus improving performance. The sides and front have been lightened while retaining crossbars to facilitate the possible addition of extra ballast. The rear frame structure has been resized and reinforced, ensuring better cornering performance.
For the first time on a classic model, the weight of the body is evenly distributed around the entire perimeter of the chassis. The nose and sides remain in permanent contact with the chassis, thus offering optimal stability. This design also allows for the widest chassis in the Classic range, with a width of 62 mm for the Lola’s sides, compared to 58 mm for the Porsche 908.
